Stuff we did recently (newest is always at the top)
On Sunday, June 10, TFM led the whole church service at Lawshall! It was a super experience to see all the kids doing so many inspirational things!
TFM started back recently. Over the summer holidays we did all sorts of things and people have been to lots of different places, like...Greece, France, Cornwall, Burley, Seychelles, camping in Rendlesham Forest, Christian camp in Weybourne, Dorset and Dublin. Some of the things we did were: Go-karting, Go-Ape in Thetford Forest, went to the sea side, visited the New Forest, Windsor Castle, and Longleat Safari Park. We had another Fun4U! activity day at Bradfield Combust Scout Park on August 30th with about 40 children! We had activities all day about stories that Jesus told, and a BBQ. We had a water fight with the teenagers that came to help out, but Martin got soaked the most! Apart from the water fights, the best things we did were making bracelets, walking on stilts to cross a pretend river, and the assault course. Everybody had fun! For several weeks we prepared for Easter. We made a cross out of our old Christmas tree, then decorated it with butterflies, daffodils, and ribbons which we made. We also made Mother's Day gifts. There was a selection of jewelry to choose from, rings, bracelets, and earrings. We decorated them with different coloured beads, small, big, wooden, plastic, anything you could think of. We also made Simnel cakes and Easter biscuits. (By Georgia James)
On 31st January it was the Beetle Drive. About 65 people turned up to play! Thanks to Cally who made a great supper (jacket potatoes and fillings), no one went hungry. Thatks to all those who came and made it a great evening. With a "talent" of 10 quid from St Nicholas Hospice, we managed to make 180 quid!! On the 24th of January, Judith talked to us about the conversion of St Paul, which was really interesting. We made bird feeders out of lard and seeds. Then we had a surprise, we were told we could make cocktails (non-alcoholic) which tasted great! On the 17th of January, we had great fun cooking for the family service; finished our Squeezums (which looked great) and also big games (Jenga and Parachute).
